NEW BIRTH FELLOWSHIP M.B. CHURCH
HISTORY

163 years ago, a group of Christians migrated from the Simon Hill church area and the Wells Church came into existence. The name  " Wells "  came from the property the church was built on. Later the Church was named New Hope Grove. This church started as a one-room building but was later rebuilt by Nathan Rhand,  Robert Dunson and others.  The church was then rebuilt by
Joel Harris and Burr Lewis.

In 1904 Ms. Lizzie Miller purchased the deed of land for one dollar and gave it to the church. In 1910, the church came under the leadership of  Rev. Willie Hill.  After Rev. Hill passed on the church had numerous pastors throughout the years.

In November 1983, Rev Charles D. Miller was called to the New Hope Grove Baptist Church. Pastor Miller brought a new way of thinking to the New Hope community. Breaking the ground of tradition and planting the word of God, Pastor Miller passion and leadership began to change the community. Although the church has been tested and tried by the fire, it has come forth as pure gold. After much prayer and seeking the Lord, The NewBirth Fellowship M.B. Church was born.
In 2002,   ground was broken for a new sanctuary which holds 800 people.

Many new ministries were born, including the Brotherhood Ministry, Women of excellence, Outreach Ministry, Tutoring Programs for teenagers, Lectures, Workshop, Audio Visual/ Television Broadcast ministry and I-WORSHIP (internet media ministry). Through the Pastor Millers Leadership and vision the  ministry has reached worldwide. Our latest mission have taken us into Lilongwe , Malawi on the continent of Africa. As God has blessed the family of NewBirth we are continually reaching toward the commission of the almighty. We are constantly reminded of the 1 Corinthians 2:9 " No eye has seen, No ear has heard, no mind has conceived, what God has prepared for those who love him". The best is yet to come.
